Frontier Showdown (Scorched Earth)
The first chapter of the DLC introduces wild-west mechanics to the desert map.
🚂 The Train System
You can now lay down Train Tracks across the map. The Steam Engine acts as a massive mobile base. You can attach Platform Cars (to build turrets and structures) and passenger cars. Trains are excellent for moving massive amounts of metal across Scorched Earth safely.
🏜️ The Oasisaur & Carts
The Oasisaur is a massive, flying island beast. It acts as a mobile greenhouse and can resurrect dead dinosaurs if you place their implant in its pool. You can also craft Carts to pull behind your other dinosaurs (like a Paraceratherium) to carry resources and structures like a pioneer wagon.
💎 Treasure Hunting & The Shovel
Equip a Shovel and find buried Treasure Maps. These maps lead you to dig sites where you must defend a chest from waves of enemies. The higher the quality of the map, the harder the waves, but the loot inside is equivalent to deep-sea crates.
🃏 Saloons & Poker
You can now craft Saloon tables, chairs, and pianos. The Poker Table allows you to actually play Texas Hold'em with your tribe mates or other players on the server, betting in-game resources like ingots or pearls.
Steampunk Ascent (Aberration)
The second chapter focuses on surviving the radioactive underground.
🎈 Zeppelins (Airships)
Since traditional flyers are banned on Aberration, the Zeppelin allows you to take to the skies. It requires Gas to float and can be built upon like a platform saddle. It has a heavy weight limit but is the safest way to navigate the red radiation zone.
🧬 Gene Splicing (Cosmo)
The DLC introduces Cosmo, a shoulder-pet spider. You can use its webs to swing around Aberration like Spider-Man, picking up items from afar and escaping Reaper Kings with ease. You can also splice traits from other dinos to create perfect mutations.
Wasteland War (Extinction - Upcoming)
The final chapter will introduce Mad Max style vehicles to the Extinction map.
Vehicles Confirmed
Wildcard has confirmed that Wasteland War will feature fully driveable, customizable motorized vehicles to traverse the wastelands, complete with mounted turrets and ramming spikes.
