For the first time in ARK history, mods are available on Xbox and PlayStation! You can browse and install these directly from the main menu using the in-game CurseForge browser.
CurseForge is not just an option here — it replaced Steam Workshop as Ascended's official mod backbone at launch, with Studio Wildcard running the integration directly rather than leaving it to a third party. The catalogue has grown to well over 7,000 listed mods, so the picks below are a starting point, not the ceiling.
Top Quality of Life Mods
Replaces the vanilla spyglass. Shows the exact stats (Health, Melee, Weight) and stat points of wild dinosaurs, plus their taming requirements (which food they want and how many tranq darts it will take). Mandatory for breeders, and it shows: Super Spyglass Plus alone has passed 13.8 million downloads on CurseForge.
Automates the tedious parts of the game. It pulls resources into crafting stations automatically, gathers poop and eggs from dinosaurs, and sorts your inventory with a single click. A must-have for large bases. It is a rebuild of the Evolved-era favourite for Ascended's engine, and its single CurseForge listing has carried over 9.5 million downloads.
The Island map is notorious for spawning very low-level dinosaurs (levels 5 to 45). This mod equalizes the spawn weights so you have the same chance of finding a Level 150 Rex as you do on Ragnarok or The Center. It sits at 7.2 million downloads, making it one of the more-installed QoL picks on the platform.
Allows you to place teleport pads around the map and craft a personal remote to instantly travel to them. It also allows you to teleport your dinosaurs instantly to your location, removing the pain of moving land dinos across the map. It has 4.5 million downloads — the smallest of these four, but still a mod used by millions of survivors.
Best Dino & Content Mods
An overhaul mod that buffs and reworks dozens of useless vanilla dinosaurs. It gives the Triceratops a better charge, makes the Stegosaurus faster, and completely rebalances flyers. That description is proven on the original Ark: Survival Evolved — the Ascended port is still labelled a Core/testing build on CurseForge, with the author warning that no creatures are functional yet, so treat it as one to watch rather than one to install today.
Brings the fan-favorite Griffin from Ragnarok into Ascended with a high-quality model remake. They can dive-bomb and allow you to shoot weapons while riding.
Adds glowing, Aberrant-style versions of dinosaurs to regular maps. Excellent for cosmetic hunting and breeding unique color mutations. It has quietly become one of the platform's bigger mods at 9.3 million downloads — more than either Custom Dino Levels or Awesome Teleporters above.

The Kraken's Better Dinos caveat — that the Ascended port is still an unfinished Core build — comes from the mod's own CurseForge description, current as of this check. Download counts change daily and are a snapshot, not a guarantee of what you will see when you install. What is still unverified is the only thing reading cannot settle — nobody here has played it.
