Your Evergaol Progress: 0/10
Progress is saved automatically in your browser.
An Evergaol is a solo fight by design: with one specific exception (you can bring Blaidd into the Forlorn Hound Evergaol if you've already spoken to him), you cannot summon a Spirit Ash, an NPC ally, or another Tarnished inside one. Two of the ten also demand a Stonesword Key just to unlock the gaol itself, flagged below. If you have seen “eleven Evergaols” elsewhere, both counts are right: the eleventh is Ordina, Liturgical Town, which is an Evergaol with no boss in it — it is a lantern puzzle, so it is not on this checklist. Before you go in, an Evergaol looks like a circle of stone with a glowing purple spot at its centre, usually guarded by worm-like stone-boulder sentinels with purple eyes — interact with the glow to be pulled inside.

Cross-checked
Cross-checked on 6 September 2026 against Dualshockers' and Destructoid's Evergaol round-ups and the Elden Ring Fextralife wiki. This page previously listed an eleventh "Stormcaller Evergaol" with the Godskin Apostle inside — no source we checked names any such Evergaol, and the Godskin Apostle fought at Dominula, Windmill Village is a regular field boss (summonable, Millicent included) rather than an Evergaol encounter, so that entry has been removed and the count corrected from 11 to 10. Every remaining boss-to-location pairing above matches the Fextralife wiki directly. The no-summons rule and its one exception (Blaidd, in the Forlorn Hound Evergaol), and the purple-sentinel/glowing-stone way of spotting a gaol before entering, are both confirmed by community summon-restriction and Pro Game Guides/Gamepur explainer articles. What is still unverified is the only thing reading cannot settle — nobody here has played it.
