Every run climbs the same four biomes in order. Here's what to expect in each and how to come out the other side stronger.
Tartarus
- The gentle opener — learn enemy tells and take safe Boons to establish a damage plan.
- Look for a Charon shop and the Well of Charon for cheap upgrades.
- Boss: Megaera (or a sister). Dodge the whip sweep and the ground AoE, punish the recovery.
Asphodel
- Lava everywhere — never dash into it; use it against knockback-immune foes.
- Ranged enemies (Spreaders, Bombers) are the real threat; close distance or deflect.
- Boss: the Bone Hydra — kill the side heads while dodging the beam and rising lava.
Elysium
- The difficulty spike — shielded Legionnaires and Chariots hit hard; save escape options.
- Prioritise defensive Boons (Athena) and keep a Death Defiance in reserve.
- Boss: Theseus & Asterius — drop Asterius the Minotaur first, then dodge Theseus's called Olympian summons.
Temple of Styx
- Explore the branching chambers for the mini-boss satyrs and the final upgrades; find the Wretched Broker if you need resources.
- Refill on healing before the final door — the boss has no shop after.
- Boss: Hades — a two-phase fight. Bait the spin and pillar slams, and don't get cornered in phase two.
