The Missing Memories

After unlocking the Camera Rune in Hateno Village, Impa in Kakariko Village will task you with visiting 12 specific locations depicted in photos left on the Sheikah Slate by Princess Zelda. Finding all of them (plus a secret 13th memory) unlocks the True Ending of the game.

Memory Locations

• Memory #1: Sacred Ground Ruins - Located in Hyrule Field, directly south of Hyrule Castle. Watch out for patrolling Guardians in this area.
• Memory #2: Lake Kolomo - North of the Great Plateau. Stand on the western shore of Lake Kolomo looking toward the Dueling Peaks.
• Memory #3: Ancient Columns - In the Tabantha Frontier, south of the Tabantha Tower, right next to the Tena Ko'sah Shrine.
• Memory #4: Kara Kara Bazaar - The small oasis settlement on the road between Gerudo Canyon and Gerudo Town. The glowing spot is right by the water's edge.
• Memory #5: Eldin Canyon - On a rocky ledge west of Goron City and the Woodland Tower, overlooking the castle.
• Memory #6: Irch Plain - Northwest of Hyrule Castle, near a small pond with a single large tree.
• Memory #7: West Necluda - Located on a small cliff near the Dueling Peaks, specifically on the northern side of the river before the stable.
• Memory #8: Hyrule Castle - In Zelda's Study within the walls of Hyrule Castle. This is the most dangerous memory to obtain early in the game.
• Memory #9: Spring of Power - Located in the Akkala region, just south of the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab.
• Memory #10: Sanidin Park Ruins - A large ruin with a horse statue located in the Ridgeland Tower region, along the road leading up to Satori Mountain.
• Memory #11: Lanayru Road - East Gate - Deep in a snowy valley east of Kakariko Village, surrounded by Lynels.
• Memory #12: Hyrule Field (Bottomless Swamp) - Located in a small forest just north of the Bottomless Swamp in Hyrule Field.

The Final Memory

After finding all 12 memories, return to Impa in Kakariko Village. She will reveal a painting on her wall depicting the location of the 13th and final memory.

Memory #13: Ash Swamp - Located in the center of the Ash Swamp, directly between the Dueling Peaks Stable and Fort Hateno. It is surrounded by the rusted remains of dead Guardians. Triggering this memory unlocks the full context of Link's defeat 100 years ago.
