MONSTER BESTIARY

Every creature in Hyrule drops unique materials. Learn their weaknesses to survive the wilderness.

Bokoblin

Horns · Fangs · Guts

The most common enemy in Hyrule. They often live in camps shaped like giant skulls. They are vulnerable to headshots and sneakstrikes. At night, you can sneak into their camps and steal their weapons while they sleep.

Strategy

Drop a bomb into their camp from above. They are curious and will gather around the bomb, allowing for an easy multi-kill.

Moblin

Horns · Fangs · Guts

Large, slow, but incredibly strong. They use heavy weapons and have a long reach. Their attacks are telegraphed, making them perfect targets for practicing Flurry Rushes and Perfect Dodges.

Lizalfos

Horns · Talons · Tails

Fast, agile lizards that can camouflage themselves. They often wield boomerangs and spears. Elemental Lizalfos are incredibly weak to their opposite element (e.g., shoot a Fire Lizalfos with an Ice Arrow to kill it instantly in one hit).

Lynel

Horns · Hooves · Guts · Savage Weapons

The most dangerous non-boss enemies in the game, often tougher than Ganon's Blights. They are immune to elemental one-shots and have devastating melee and ranged attacks.

Strategy

Shoot them in the face with an arrow to stun them. While stunned, run up and press A to mount them. While mounted, your weapon takes ZERO durability damage when attacking.

Guardian Stalker

Ancient Screws · Gears · Shafts · Cores

Ancient Sheikah machines corrupted by Malice. Their laser beams deal massive damage and set the surrounding grass on fire.

Strategy

Shoot them in the glowing blue eye to stun them temporarily. If you have a good shield, wait for the laser to fire (watch for the blue flash around the eye) and press A to Parry the laser back at them. It takes 3 parries to destroy a Stalker.

Chuchu

Chuchu Jelly

Gelatinous blobs that pop out of the ground. They come in normal, Fire, Ice, and Electric variants. Normal Chuchu jelly can be transformed into elemental jelly by exposing it to fire, freezing water, or electricity after it drops!

Octorok

Octorok Tentacle · Eyeball · Balloon

Annoying creatures that shoot rocks at you. Rock Octoroks in the Eldin region will inhale rusty weapons and spit them back out as brand-new pristine weapons!

Hinox

Hinox Toenail · Tooth · Guts · Weapons

Giant, one-eyed cyclops that are usually found sleeping. They wear necklaces made of powerful weapons. You can sneak onto their hand while they sleep, wait for them to scratch their belly, and steal the weapons from their necklace without waking them up.

Strategy

Shoot them directly in their giant eye to stun them, then spin-attack their legs with a heavy weapon. When they cover their eye, wait for them to attack or use Urbosa's Fury to break their guard.
