The game
What can I play it on?
PlayStation 5 only, PS5 Pro Enhanced. There is no PS4 version.
Is it on PC?
No. PlayStation's page lists it as a PS5 exclusive, there is no Steam store page (checked 9 October 2026), and in March 2026 PC Gamer reported Bloomberg's account that Sony would keep it off PC. Sony has not announced a PC version.
Do I need to have played Ghost of Tsushima?
No. It is a standalone story set three hundred years later, with a new hero, Atsu.
Can I miss anything?
Not in the base game. Everything stays open in free roam after the story, and story choices do not change the trophies.
Does difficulty matter for trophies?
No. Casual, the easiest setting, earns the platinum.
After the credits
Is there New Game+?
Yes, since the free update of 24 November 2025. It unlocks after the main story and has two trophies of its own.
How do I start Echoes of Sekigahara?
Buy the Complete Edition or the Complete Edition Upgrade. Two of the guides we read say it opens after The Oni and The Kitsune are dead, through the Nagato the Handsome bounty from Kojiro.
Do the expansion's trophies count for the platinum?
No. Echoes of Sekigahara, Most Wanted, Legends and New Game+ have their own trophy packs; the platinum needs only the base game's 54.
Where is Most Wanted?
It is a separate mode included with the Complete Edition, a single-player roguelike with four characters: Atsu, Oyuki, Nagato and Jin Sakai.
Is Legends paid?
No. It was a free update on 10 March 2026, but online play needs PlayStation Plus.
