Beginner's Guide

Nightreign is Elden Ring as a fast co-op roguelike: three in-game days of frantic power-leveling, then a Nightlord. Getting strong quickly is the whole game.

The expedition loop

  1. Pick a Nightfarer

Choose a class that fits your squad — Wylder is the safest first pick. Each has a unique skill and Ultimate.

  2. Day 1–2: get strong fast

Land, then race to clear camps, mini-bosses and points of interest for runes and gear. Level up at Sites of Grace.

  3. Beat the storm

The Night's Tide (a ring of blue rain) closes in each day — stay ahead of it or take heavy damage, like a battle-royale circle.

  4. Night 3: the Nightlord

On the final night the map collapses into the Nightlord arena. Come geared, levelled and coordinated.

  5. Revive and stick together

Downed allies can be revived by attacking them to fill a bar — never leave a teammate behind before the boss.

Squad tips

  • Split up early to cover more of the map, then regroup before each night ends.
  • Match your run to the Nightlord's weakness — bring the right damage type.
  • Prioritise weapon upgrades and a couple of key stat levels over hoarding runes.
  • Ping loot and bosses so the squad converges on the biggest power spikes.
