What it is: a night chapter. You follow a trail of lights toward Minos' palace while the giant worm-like creature hunts you, then explore the palace itself, where you meet the Petrified for the first time.
To find: 1 Blade, 3 Artefacts, 2 Charms and 25 Resonance Points, in six sub-chapters. The first sub-chapter has nothing to pick up.
Missable: Blades, Artefacts and Charms still count if you pick them up later through Chapter Select, and you can quit to the main menu straight after grabbing one. Resonance Points do not: they do not carry over in Chapter Select, they are only saved at the next checkpoint (die before it and you collect them again), and you need 165 of the game's 200 to buy every skill for the Like a warrior achievement.
1. The lights in the night
Sub-chapters 1 to 3 · 1 Artefact · 1 Charm · 9 Resonance Points (0, 3 and 6)
Objective: follow the lights to the palace. The lights are where you are safe from the worm, and many have to be switched on by interacting and rotating the left stick, or lit by striking a brazier with your sword.

1
You have to live: the first escape
After the opening scene, run from the worm, jumping the gaps and swinging across with the grapnel when prompted. There are no collectibles in this sub-chapter.

2
Hell on earth: switch on the lights
In the open area, go left, climb the ladder and turn on the light at the top. Drop down the ledge on your left; a Resonance Point lies on the floor to your left. The floor collapses as you approach the next light. Carry on with stealth to the following light, then jump the wall, go down the slope and deal with the guards. Pull down the wooden structure with the grapnel, climb up and strike the brazier to break and light it, then drop down the cleared ledge for another Resonance Point before the worm shows up again. This sub-chapter counts three Resonance Points; only one source says where the third is, in a small cave behind a central column.

No respite: the three paths
Sneak through the next area keeping right and swing over the gap to safety. In the cave, a short scene shows Sophia stopping to rest, and the way splits into three. The right path holds the first Artefact; the left path, a squeeze through a gap, ends at a chest with a Charm; the middle path, also a squeeze, is the way on. Fight the soldiers in the cavern (one is an archer), then crawl through the hole near where the archer stood. Go right at the water for two Resonance Points (the sources split these three points differently: PowerPyx gives 1 for the cavern fight and 2 at the water, EliteGuias 2 for the fight and 1 at the water), take the right path at the large hole, squeeze under the branch, and smash the barrels by the next hole for another. Climb with the grapnel; after the scene there is a point by the light ahead. Drop down to the soldiers, take the point in the small building, and crawl through the hole in the wall.
In route order
- Artefact Dante's Inferno – Canto V (Relic of the Present) Sub-chapter 3. In the cave, after the short scene where Sophia rests, take the right-hand of the three paths; it is at the end, just past some petrified bodies.
- Charm Seal #4 Same spot: take the left-hand path, squeezing through the gap in the rocks, and open the chest.
2. Hunted and Chaos
Sub-chapters 4 and 5 · 1 Blade · 1 Artefact · 6 Resonance Points (3 and 3)
A stealth area patrolled by the worm, then a fight and another chase. Stay crouched in the open ground so the worm does not chase you.

1
Hunted: the hero's grave first
The sub-chapter opens with a man running toward you and being grabbed by the monster. Turn left straight away, take the leftmost path and climb the ledge to a pillar with a bull on it: the grave with the Blade is down the steps. Then cross the area in stealth toward the top-left corner. There is a light in the middle you can spin on if you need a refuge, and the braziers can be lit with a strike. There are three Resonance Points in this area: on a roof up the ruins to the right of that light, on the ground in the ruins to its left, and in the ruins on the far right.

2
The two holes in the wall
Up the stairs at the end of the ruins you reach a light with two openings near it. The one straight ahead, with grass in front and orange light shining through, holds the Artefact. The other, on the right with the interaction prompt, is the way on: go through, climb the ledge and the ladder, and zipline across on the rope.
-
3
Chaos: fight, barricade, chase
You land among soldiers; beating them all gives Resonance Points automatically. The sources disagree on how many: PowerPyx counts 2, EliteGuias 3. Go up the steps, pull down the wooden barricade with the grapnel and pick up the point on the left of the path before you squeeze through the door. Then run from the worm again: jump and swing over the gaps, and slide under the obstacle with the crouch button.
In route order
- Blade Broken Spear (Blades from the Heroes' Graves #5) Sub-chapter 4, right at the start: turn left, take the leftmost path and climb the ledge to the bull pillar, go down the steps into the chamber and open the grave.
- Artefact Phosphate Ring (Relic of the Past) Up the stairs at the end of the ruins, at the light: crouch through the low opening straight ahead with grass in front and orange light behind it, not the one with the button prompt.
3. Minos' palace
Sub-chapter 6, Echoes of the past · 1 Artefact · 1 Charm · 10 Resonance Points
Objectives: explore Minos' palace, then cross through the Petrified. The Petrified cannot be attacked, but they cannot get you while you stand in light, and if you move slowly they do not attack.
-
1
The palace halls
Before going up the first steps among the lanterns, take the area on the left for two Resonance Points. Go up, crawl through the tunnel and squeeze through the door to trigger a scene, then take the point on the throne. Drop down on the right; just before the corridor turns left, a path on the right leads to two more points, and a ledge on the left by the water has another. Out of the water, strike the brazier to clear the petrified bodies blocking the door and squeeze through.
-
2
The Charm on the balcony
At the top of the next steps, on the balcony, turn left and crawl through the hole in the wall: the Charm is on an altar in the room beyond. Crawl back, go right at the petrified bodies and shimmy along the ledge into a series of scenes.
-
3
Cross through the Petrified
After the scenes, take the point on the right and drop down the ledge on the far side. Light the brazier ahead, go through the doorway beside it and climb the ledge in the next room for the Artefact. Back at the brazier, take the corridor opposite; in the room with light through the windows, move slowly, crawl through the gap in the left corner for a point and cross to the steps. At the top, the Petrified block the way: get their attention, lead them round the object in the middle of the room and jump the gap they were guarding. A point lies under a tree on the left. Go down the steps to trigger a scene; the chapter ends with a one-on-one fight.
In route order
- Charm Pierced Coin #4 After you destroy a pedestal to let the light in and squeeze through a gap, you come out on a balcony: turn left and crawl through the wall; it is on the altar in the next room.
- Artefact Bronze Mirror (Relic of the Past) Objective "Cross through the petrified": drop down the ledge and light the brazier, go through the doorway to its side, then climb the ledge in the next room; it is on the floor to your right.
4. Chapter IX Completion
Cross-checked
Cross-checked on 7 October 2026, and re-checked on 9 October 2026, against PowerPyx's Chapter IX collectible guide and its all-collectibles guide, GameSpew's full walkthrough by Richard Seagrave (August 2026), Vandal's guide and its artefacts page, and EliteGuias' walkthrough. All four agree on 1 Blade, 3 Artefacts and 2 Charms and on where each one is; the 25 Resonance Points, their split by sub-chapter, the sub-chapter names, the rules on Chapter Select and checkpoints and the names are PowerPyx's, and where the sources disagree the text says so. Not from a playthrough: nobody here has played it, and what the sources do not describe is not on this page.
