Chapter 2: Shadows of Pailune

1. Arrival at Pailune

The carriage ride from Hernand ends abruptly. You must now navigate the treacherous outer walls of Pailune City using your newly acquired stealth skills.

  Infiltrate the Outer Wall

  Stick to the tall grass. Use rocks to distract the heavily armored guards. Do not fight them yet, their level is too high for your current gear.

  The Pailune Watchtower

  Climb the vines on the northern watchtower. Synchronizing here unlocks Fast Travel for the capital and marks the Royal Palace on your map.

2. The Royal Palace

Once inside the city, you must find a way into the restricted palace grounds to uncover the conspiracy.

  The Servant's Disguise

  Head to the laundry district. Steal the Royal Servant Garb from the clothesline. Equip it to bypass the main gate guards without raising suspicion.

  Hidden Item: Ancient Tome

  While inside the Palace Library, check the glowing bookshelf on the second floor. Grab the Ancient Tome of Secrets (vital for upgrading magical abilities later).

  The Defense Plans

  Enter the War Room. Pick up the Defense Plans from the central table. This triggers a cutscene and the chapter's boss fight.

3. Boss: Shadow Inquisitor

The Inquisitor attacks with fast, dual-wielded daggers and uses smoke bombs to break your lock-on.
