Questions people ask first

When did it come out, and where?

On 19 May 2026, for Xbox Series X|S and for PC through Steam and the Microsoft Store. Anyone who bought the Premium Edition could start four days earlier, on 15 May.

Is it in Game Pass?

Yes. It joined Game Pass on its launch day, so a subscription is enough to play it on Xbox Series X|S or PC.

When does it come to PS5?

On 26 January 2027. As on Xbox and PC, the Premium Edition starts early: on PS5 the head start is five days, from 21 January. Playground has said that the PS5 version will share cross-play and cross-save with the Xbox and Steam versions.

Has any expansion come out yet?

Not yet. The first Premium Expansion is dated for 21 January 2027 and arrives on every platform the same day, which is also the day PS5 early access starts. A second expansion is promised for later, with no date. Both come with the Premium Edition, the Premium Upgrade and the Expansions Bundle, and the first can also be bought on its own.

What does each edition add?

According to the official edition list, the Standard Edition is the game alone. The Deluxe Edition adds the Welcome Pack and the Car Pass, which hands out thirty cars, one a week. The Premium Edition adds early access, VIP Membership, the Time Attack and Italian Passion car packs and both Premium Expansions. Owners of the Standard or Deluxe Edition can move up with the Premium Upgrade.

How the free updates work

🗓️ Series, one theme at a time
Free content arrives in numbered Series, each built around a theme and lasting several weeks. Each one brings new cars, weekly challenges in the Festival Playlist and fixes. Earning a Series History Reward from the Playlist is the condition for the Historic Effort achievement.
🏪 Series 6: Horizon Meets
The current Series has its limited-time content from 8 October to 5 November 2026. It is built around car meets and convoys with friends, adds a 7-Eleven shop to the world as part of a partnership, and placed a tenth Treasure Car, a 1970 Citroën 2CV, in the Minamino region.
🚗 Where the new cars come from
In Series 6, for example, ten of the new cars are Festival Playlist rewards, earned by playing the weekly events, and four are Car Pass deliveries, which only reach owners of the Car Pass or of the Deluxe, Premium or Premium Upgrade editions. Ten more are spec racing cars that anyone can drive in those events.
