WALKTHROUGH: TELAMBANG · MISSIONS 1–3

Telambang

Back in Action, A Debt Repaid, Last Meal

Region Overview

Where: Telambang. PlayStation's own hands-on report says the game opens in the wilds of Telambang and that Team X goes from there into a facility belonging to Bolivar Trask, the anti-mutant industrialist who has been abducting, studying and disposing of mutants in the name of human superiority. No source we read describes the place beyond that, so this page does not either.
Missions: 1. Back in Action, 2. A Debt Repaid, 3. Last Meal. All three are in Telambang, and the game is completely linear, with each mission running straight into the next.
What to watch for: nothing to collect. There are 0 Material Crates, 0 Whisky Bottles and 0 Nightmare Doors in all three missions; the game's numbering bears that out, because Material Crate #1 of 68, Whisky Bottle #1 of 20 and Nightmare Door #1 of 14 are all in Homecoming, the first mission of Canada. Two trophies pop here and neither can be missed: Hot Head (bronze) during A Debt Repaid and Omega Dead (silver) after Last Meal. The whole trophy list is rated 2/10 in difficulty at 15–20 hours, with 0 missable trophies and one playthrough, and Mission Select only unlocks after you meet the second Nightmare Door — which is in Canada — so there is nothing in Telambang to lose and nothing to come back for.

1. Back in Action

The opening. PlayStation's hands-on report describes it as beginning with a flashback of a feral, memory-wiped Wolverine, then puts you with Team X — Wolverine, Mystique, who can shift through identities when she needs to, and an ever-savage Sabretooth who spends the mission antagonising him — heading into Trask's facility. The report adds the reason: Nathaniel Essex, who found Wolverine years earlier in that feral state and formed Team X to protect mutants, is being held captive by Trask, and the mission is to free him. In short, the setup is an amnesiac Logan rejoining Team X to look into mutant abductions by Trask and his Reavers militia; the official PlayStation page puts it more simply, that Logan thought he was finished being Wolverine and the past was not finished with him. There is nothing to collect in this mission.

    Go in with Team X

Follow the mission. The game is strictly linear, with missions that automatically follow on from one another; on-screen markers lead you between objectives and invisible walls keep you inside the intended route, with some areas fading to black if you wander too far. There is no step walkthrough for this mission, because there is nothing in it to find.

The systems the opening hands you

PlayStation's hands-on report sets out the two that matter for the rest of the game. The Rage meter runs through three tiers: at Tier 2 you can heal with Last Stand, and at Tier 3 your attacks become significantly more powerful and brutal critical strikes open up. Enhanced Senses let you track enemies and take them down more stealthily, and while you are exploring they also pick up conversation, music and your teammates' scents — the same sense you will be following to whisky bottles from Homecoming onwards. The official PlayStation page adds that you build aggressive momentum to gain Rage, and that Logan is customised with swappable Techniques and Adaptations paid for with Technique Points.

    Nothing to collect

0 Material Crates, 0 Whisky Bottles, 0 Nightmare Doors. If you are chasing the collectible trophies, the first thing you can actually pick up is three missions away.

2. A Debt Repaid

Still nothing to collect, and the mission where the game's first trophy pops. It is a Rage trophy, so it is worth knowing what the meter is before you get there.

  • 1

    Trophy: Hot Head

Bronze, "Hit Rage Tier 3". It is an automatic story trophy that cannot be missed, the first of the game's story trophies, and it unlocks during this mission. You do not have to go looking for it; the mission puts you there.

    What Rage Tier 3 is

PlayStation's hands-on report gives the tiers: Tier 2 unlocks healing through Last Stand, Tier 3 makes your attacks significantly more powerful and opens brutal critical strikes. The meter is Wolverine's bestial anger, filling as you fight, strike enemies and parry; once it is full the colour drains out of the scene and instant-kill takedowns become available — and the meter empties quickly in that state unless you keep killing. That top state is a berserker frenzy in which the world desaturates to black and white and your inputs collapse to two trigger buttons. There is also a heavy finisher that impales enemies on the claws and restores health, and a crowd-control move called Tornado Spin, which makes the meter easier to keep climbing. GamesRadar+'s review is not complimentary about the system — it calls Rage both overcomplicated and inconsequential — but nothing here asks you to master it.

    Nothing to collect

    0 / 0 / 0 again.

3. Last Meal

The mission that closes the region, and a boss fight. The official PlayStation page names Omega Red among the game's villains; PlayStation's hands-on report says Wolverine runs into him during the opening mission sequence; and the trophy for beating him is tied to this mission, which pins the fight down. Still nothing to collect.

  • 1

    Trophy: Omega Dead

Silver, "Defeat Omega Red". It is an automatic story trophy that cannot be missed, the second story trophy of the game, and it unlocks after Last Meal — so Omega Red is the fight that ends Telambang.

    No strategy here, and why

How the fight works: read the colour of his attacks instead of trading blows. Blue and yellow attacks can be parried, and every parry builds his Stagger bar; once he is staggered, that is the moment for a full string of attacks. Red attacks have to be dodged, above all once he starts throwing things with his two metal tendrils — make some distance before going back on the offensive. He has a second phase with the same mechanics, a tad more aggressive: his strings come faster and leave shorter openings, so hit only when it is safe, after you have dodged or countered a complete combo. Boss fights generally lean on parrying: the parry sequences in boss fights are ones you will have mastered long before you have worn the boss's health down. If you want the fight taken off the table entirely, the easiest setting, The Man, is effectively a god mode in which you cannot die, and no trophy depends on difficulty.

Nothing to collect, and nothing to come back for

0 / 0 / 0. The region ends with your collectible tracker still empty, which is correct and not a sign you missed something. Canada starts on the next mission and every collectible type starts there with its number 1.

✅ Before Moving On to Canada...

Cross-checked

Cross-checked on 22 September 2026 against the guides of PowerPyx, Push Square, GameRant and KeenGamer, PlayStation's official game page and PlayStation Blog's hands-on report of 13 August 2026, Wikipedia, and the GamesRadar+, GameSpot and VGC reviews. The Rage top state as described here — the berserker state, the desaturation, the health-restoring finisher, Tornado Spin, the meter filling on hits and parries — was read from search-result summaries of the GameSpot and GamesRadar+ reviews, not from the articles themselves. Not from a playthrough: nobody here has played it, and what the sources do not describe is not on this page.
