- Trophies
- 33 on PlayStation, including the platinum; 32 achievements on Xbox and Steam, worth 1,000 Gamerscore on Xbox.
- Runs
- At least Hardcore, Nightmare and Inferno; one guide recommends four or more.
- Hardest
- Jill Valentine: S rank on Inferno.
- Missable for good
- None, says one guide: collectibles count across saves and playthroughs.
A route to every trophy
1 · A collectible run
Find every file, Mr. Charlie doll, lock, weapon and Hip Pouch. One guide does this on Assisted for the extra rifle and slots; another plays it on Hardcore to open Nightmare at once. Keep manual saves you can return to.
2 · Points for the shop
Farm Records for the Infinite Rocket Launcher, two Recovery Coins and two Iron Defense Coins. Kill Records are the quickest, by reloading a save before a crowd of enemies.
3 · Hardcore and Nightmare
With the rocket launcher from the item box these runs go fast. One guide pairs Hardcore with I Might Need These Later!, using the Recovery Coins instead of herbs.
4 · Inferno with an S rank
Equip the rocket launcher, coins and the Field Combat Manual, and finish in under two hours. That one run can earn Jill Valentine, Dominator, Sensational Work! and Sprinter. One guide says deaths do not count toward the rank. If you die, two guides say to quit to the menu and load your save instead of choosing Continue, which keeps the clock running.
4b · The save limit
On saves, the guides disagree. PowerPyx's trophy guide says both fewer than five manual saves and "not more than 5 total"; Gamer Guides says no more than five. To be safe, make four or fewer.
5 · Minimalist
Finish once without opening the item box. Shop items come out of the box, so this run has none of them. The guides suggest a quick run on Assisted, carrying only what you need.
Trophies you can miss within a run
| Trophy | What to watch |
|---|---|
| Bookworm | Read every story file. PowerPyx and Evil Resource count 56 files; Game8 counts 58. The Records menu tracks your progress. |
| Goodbye, Charlie! | Destroy all 20 Mr. Charlie dolls. |
| RE: Master of Unlocking | Open every safe, locker, strongbox and pickable lock. One guide counts 20. |
| Kendo's Armory | Collect every weapon, including the Lightning Hawk only Jill can reach. |
| Power Stones | Bring all three jewels to the clock tower monument. |
| Nemesis Down | Knock Nemesis down downtown until he drops a supply case. |
| Electric Slide | Collect the three fuses in the Underground Storage warehouse within five minutes. |
| An Unfortunate End | Kill zombie Brad. One guide places him at the start of Carlos's first section, outside the police station. |
| Minimalist and I Might Need These Later! | Never open the item box; use one recovery item or none. |
Nothing is lost for good
Tips for the hard ones
- Electric Slide: one guide places the fuses straight ahead after taking the lift on the right, at the end of the path across the two lifts, and down a ladder behind the door in the room south of the safe room.
- I Might Need These Later!: one guide notes that the Drain Deimos parasite forces you to use a healing item, which is why the trophy allows one.
- Two For One Deal: kill two enemies with one shot. One guide uses the shotgun on the Drain Deimos; the rocket launcher on later runs makes it easy.
- Sprinter needs a finish in under two hours, which the Inferno S rank already demands.
