Silent Hill 2 FAQ

1. Collectibles & Totals

The Endings checklist covers 6 entries. You can tick them off one by one on the Endings tracker, and the page keeps a running count as you go.

The Bosses checklist covers 6 entries. You can tick them off one by one on the Bosses tracker, and the page keeps a running count as you go.

The Weapons checklist covers 8 entries. You can tick them off one by one on the Weapons tracker, and the page keeps a running count as you go.

2. Playing The Game

Because several combinations in Silent Hill 2 are generated for your save rather than written into the game. A guide that hands you a flat four-digit number is guessing. The clue in your own inventory is the only correct source, which is why the puzzles page teaches the method instead of listing answers.

No. Three of them — Leave, In Water and Maria — are decided by how you play a single run, so you can only reach one per playthrough. The other three need items or keys that are only available on a later run. The endings guide covers what the game counts.

Yes. The story explainer is the only page that spoils the ending and it says so in its title and again at the top. The walkthrough stays at the level of buildings and routes, and the spoiler toggle in the bottom-left corner hides marked passages across the whole site.

3. About This Guide

15 pages in total: a walkthrough of the route through the town, guides to combat, supplies, enemies and the cast, a puzzles page, an endings guide, a remake-versus-original comparison, a spoiler-marked story explainer, and 3 checklists. Everything starts from the guide hub.

Yes. 3 separate checklists cover 20 entries between them — Bosses, Endings, Weapons — and each one shows its own progress bar.

4. Using GuideVault

No. Everything you tick is stored in your browser straight away, with no account and no sign-up. Creating a free account adds one thing: your progress follows you to another device or browser.

Yes, all of it. Every page and checklist is free to use, with no paywall and no locked chapters. Patreon supporters get cosmetic extras and a few convenience features, never content.
