Geralt's love life is entirely your call — but the sorceresses are not to be trifled with. Choose one, and commit.
Romance both Triss and Yennefer and they'll find out, humiliate Geralt, and leave him alone for good. If you want a partner in the ending, pick one and decline the other.
The Romances
Triss Merigold
Warm and devoted. Romance her during "Now or Never" in Novigrad — you must tell her you love her before she leaves the city.
Yennefer of Vengerberg
Geralt's canonical love. Complete "The Last Wish" (the djinn) and choose the romantic dialogue — a bond of genuine, un-magicked choice.
Keira Metz
A brief fling in Velen — invite her to a picnic during her questline. Doesn't affect the Triss/Yen ending.
Shani (Hearts of Stone)
An old flame at the wedding in "Dead Man's Party." A sweet, self-contained DLC romance.
Other Choices That Matter
- Bloody Baron: the botchling and the Whispering Hillock — decide who lives in Velen.
- Novigrad: sparing or killing Whoreson Junior; who runs the city after the mage crisis.
- Skellige: Cerys vs Hjalmar for the throne.
- Endings: your small interactions with Ciri decide her fate — see the Endings Guide.
How Each Romance Unlocks
- Triss: kiss her when the chance comes during "A Matter of Life and Death" (the masquerade), then at the end of "Now or Never" pick "Stay with me" and "I love you" to trigger her romance scene at the lighthouse. Skip the kiss and that last scene never comes.
- Yennefer: the romance runs through "The King is Dead – Long Live the King" (when you are trapped in the cave together, say you want to kiss her) and "The Last Wish" (freeing the djinn) — choose the romantic dialogue in both to commit to her over Triss.
- Keira: complete "The Magic Lamp" to get invited to her home, then finish "A Towerful of Mice" and "Favor for a Friend."
- Shani: near the end of "Dead Man's Party," choose to stay for "A Midnight Clear," then bring her a gift — flowers, mead or brandy all work.
Keira and Shani are self-contained: pursuing either has no bearing on the Triss/Yennefer choice or on Ciri's fate.

Cross-checked on 5 September 2026 against Fextralife, and re-checked on 1 October 2026 against Vandal and EliteGuias, which put the Triss kiss in "A Matter of Life and Death," restore "The King is Dead – Long Live the King" as the Yennefer romance quest the earlier check had wrongly removed, start Keira’s chain with "The Magic Lamp" and place Shani’s night in "A Midnight Clear." What is still unverified is the only thing reading cannot settle — nobody here has played it.
