After The Fallen you need two more keys, The Warrior's and The Prophetess's. The guides take them in different orders: this part covers the Prison Tower and Joan, the next one the Holy Innocents' Cemetery and Medusa.
1. Out of the Sewers with the Whip
There are two kinds of anchor: yellow ones you swing from, and purple ones that pull you straight to them. The whip also hooks onto enemies, and attacking the moment you reach one is a Whip Attack. Walls of glowing crystal (Chaos Shards) block some paths; they go away only once you have Holy Light, at the end of this part.
-
1
The Abandoned Sewers
Leave The Fallen's arena to the right. The rooms beyond teach both kinds of anchor; the way right is blocked by crystal, so take the purple anchor up. You come out on the upper level of the Path of the Rat.
-
2
Worth a detour: the ATK Up book
The red ATK Up book you saw in the Sewer Reservoir is now reachable: whip up to the upper area around it. Then go back to the Path of the Rat stairwell and climb all the way up to the Court of Miracles.
2. Court of Miracles to the Burned District
1 Mirror of Life · 1 Clue · 1 relic
-
1
Court of Miracles and the Bridge of the Millers
The door to the left in the Court of Miracles is blocked from this side; it becomes a shortcut later. Swing right across the anchors to the Bridge of the Millers. Pull the lever in front of the big water wheel to change its direction, ride it up, and watch the short scene with The Fallen. The next Mirror of Life is to the left.
-
2
The Burned District and Seer's Hovel
A Spirit in the Burned District gives the first Clue for The Warrior: she is trapped at the top of the tower. Further left, a purple anchor leads up to Seer's Hovel, a dark side room with acid dripping from the ceiling. Climb to its upper level and whip to the chest: it holds the Crypt Key, your first relic. Carry on left to the Prison Tower.
3. Below the Tower: the Cestus
1 weapon · 1 crossroads
-
1
The Cestus
Go down from the Prison Tower entrance and pull the lever in the ceiling to open the way under the purple anchor. Below the tower is a link back to the Sewer Reservoir and, in a golden chest, the Cestus, a pair of fist weapons. Opening the chest locks the room until you beat several waves of enemies.
-
2
The crossroads
The tunnels west of the Cestus lead back toward the Sewer Entrance; climbing out with the anchors brings you to a signpost: the Holy Innocents' Cemetery to the left, the Prison Tower to the right. Go right for now, lower the drawbridge with the lever and cross into the tower's central shaft.
4. Climbing the Prison Tower
1 Mirror of Life · 1 Clue · 2 books · 1 hidden lift
-
1
Guard Level and Guard Storehouse
The tower alternates between rooms inside and drawbridges outside; levers raise and lower the bridges, and a raised bridge doubles as a wall to jump off. Inside the Guard Level, swinging blades, spikes and anchors take you across to the right. Outside again, a lever moves both bridges; go left into the Guard Storehouse and up. From the room above, an ATK Up book sits behind a room that locks you in with enemies.
-
2
Torture Level and the tower's Mirror
Back on the central tower, the Torture Level is a long run of traps, blades and anchors. When you come out, pull the lever, swing across on the bridge's anchor and save at the Prison Tower Mirror of Life on the right.
-
3
The hidden lift
Above the Mirror room, climb with the anchors to a yellow anchor that looks different from the others. Swing on it several times in a row: a hidden passage opens above it with a lift that goes almost to the boss. You can find it before reading the Clue that hints at it.
-
4
The Upper Tower
Climbing the inside of the tower instead leads to the Upper Tower. Near the top, a Spirit gives the second Clue for The Warrior, the Carpenter's Crane Sketch, which points to that lift. Before dropping to the Spirit, break the wall at the side: a DEF Up book is behind it. Then go up to the Roof of the Tower; the boss room is past the stairs.
In route order
- Book ATK Up Sewer Reservoir, now that you have the whip.
- Save Mirror of Life Bridge of the Millers, to the left of the water wheel.
- Clue The Warrior is at the Top of the Tower Burned District, from the Spirit.
- Relic Crypt Key Seer's Hovel, chest on the upper level.
- Weapon Cestus Golden chest below the Prison Tower; an enemy ambush follows.
- Book ATK Up Above the Guard Storehouse, after the locked room.
- Save Mirror of Life Prison Tower, after the Torture Level.
- Clue Carpenter's Crane Sketch Upper Tower, from the Spirit.
- Book DEF Up Upper Tower, behind a breakable wall near the Spirit.
5. Boss: Joan, The Warrior
The Warrior is Joan of Arc. The general advice is the same in every guide: dodge her sword combos and hit back when a combo ends. Two of the guides (named in the note below) add the details:
- Her combos hit in front, then she stabs backwards, so after dashing behind her, expect that one strike.
- Fireballs gather in the air as the fight goes on. When she raises her fist and shouts that the flames will take you, they fall straight down: stand between them.
- Around half health she leaps into the middle and slams down, sending fire up both sides of the arena. Swing from one of the two anchors to stay clear; the anchors are blocked for a while afterwards.
What you get
- The Warrior Tarot card, with the spell Infernal Pyre: flames along the ground that ignite enemies and throw them into the air.
- The Warrior's Key, another key for the Gate to the Catacombs.
- Joan's sword, the Burnt Sword of Fierbois, lying in the arena.
- Holy Light, on the way down from the roof: a halo around Rose that dissolves the Chaos Shard walls. Use it to go back through every crystal wall you passed.
6. Part 2 Completion
Still to verify
These come from one or two guides only, so they are listed rather than written into the route. Rock Paper Shotgun and Fextralife both place a Twilight Gem relic in a chest past a saw-blade course reached from the Central Sewer Drain. After Holy Light, Rock Paper Shotgun alone describes a Wise Heart Fragment in a blue cage on the Torture Level, the Obsidian Fang relic past a crystal-wall course on the Guard Level, a Brave Heart Fragment in a spiked room below the tower's Mirror, and the Shadow Veil relic behind the crystal wall in the Burned District. It also says the Crypt Key restores health and mana whenever Rose opens a chest, and that Holy Light doubles as a parry, which Fextralife confirms.
Cross-checked
Cross-checked on 16 October 2026 against IGN's Prison Tower walkthrough, Rock Paper Shotgun's Paris Streets walkthrough (part 1) and boss guide, Fextralife's Pathway to The Warrior and The Warrior pages, and KeenGamer's complete walkthrough. The route, the Clues, the relic, the weapon, the books and the rewards are in at least three of them; Joan's attack pattern is only in IGN's and Rock Paper Shotgun's (both IGN Entertainment sites, with different writers). IGN spells the sword "Firebois"; Rock Paper Shotgun and Fextralife write Fierbois. Not from a playthrough: nobody here has played it, and what the sources do not describe is not on this page.
