How it was announced
📣 A November launch, 27 August
Sports Interactive confirmed on 27 August 2026 that Football Manager 27 would launch in November, with the exact date and platforms to follow. A video from the community team promised feature deep dives and first looks at gameplay from September, and an official Football Manager Discord server.
🗓️ The date, 29 September
On 29 September 2026 the studio set the launch for 10 November and named the day-one platforms, alongside news of match day upgrades.
🆓 The free preview, 21 October
On 21 October 2026 SEGA and Sports Interactive announced that the FM27 Launch Preview would be free to play on PC and Mac for five days, with the pre-purchase window opening at the same time.

Cup Draws, Transfer Deadline Day and an overhauled news feed return or are reworked to keep the wider football season in view.
🔁 A response to FM26
The studio describes FM27 as evolving the current design while restoring ideas and behaviours that worked in earlier editions. In May 2026 the studio director wrote, about FM26, that its new interface and navigation had disappointed many players.

- Prices for FM27 Console on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. SEGA has given none for the UK, Europe or the US; in South Korea the boxed PS5 edition is listed at a suggested 69,800 won.
- An unlock hour on 10 November. Sports Interactive gives the date, not a time.
- Whether the console versions get any Launch Preview. The free period is announced for PC and Mac only.
- A Nintendo Switch version. In FM26 there was an FM26 Touch for Switch; for FM27 only Apple Arcade has been announced for Touch.
- Any post-launch update plan for FM27. The studio has said more feature news is still to come before release.
