New Game+
- Finishing the campaign opens New Game+: a new run that keeps the weapons, ammo and custom parts you ended with.
- Rewards from the table above become usable in the campaign; one guide says the guns turn up in the weapon case on your next run. Clearing Normal and then carrying the stronger kit into Infernal is the route the trophy guides suggest.
- One guide says the hand prints you have scanned and your kill count for B.O.W. Hunter both carry over, so you can finish those over two runs. Another says New Game+ adds an outfit choice to the campaign menu.
- The unlimited rocket launcher from an Infernal clear is for the campaign only, and one guide says only Jill can use it.
Raid Mode stages and difficulties
| Clear in the campaign | Opens in Raid Mode |
|---|---|
| Episodes 1–3 | IGN: stages 1 to 7. Berserker's GameFAQs guide: stages 4 to 7, with stages 1 to 3 open from the start. |
| Episodes 4–6 | Stages 8 to 12 |
| Episodes 7–9 | Stages 13 to 17 |
| Episodes 10–12 | Stages 18 to 20 |
| The whole campaign | Bonus stage 21, The Ghost Ship |
How Raid difficulties open
- Two guides give the stage blocks above; they agree on everything except the first block.
- Every stage starts on Chasm. Clearing all Chasm stages opens Trench, and clearing all Trench stages opens Abyss. Each step has its own trophy, and so does an S rank on every stage of each.
- Your Raid level is shared by every character you play there. One guide says you can lower it from the character menu, which you need for the Low Level bonus once you outgrow a stage.
- Results screens award bonuses: Low Level, No Damage, Genocide for killing everything, and Trinity for all three in one run. Bonus counts drive four trophies.
Raid characters and outfits
- Trophies and level milestones in Raid Mode hand out new characters and outfits, so a long Raid grind fills the character menu as it goes.
- Two guides say clearing The Ghost Ship gives Jill a pirate outfit and that an S rank on every Abyss stage brings in HUNK.
- Jack Norman as a Raid character: Berserker's GameFAQs guide and PSNProfiles say he unlocks when you clear every Abyss stage; IGN says he unlocks when you own every rare weapon.
The Raid store and super rare weapons
- Bonus points earned in both modes are spent in the Raid store on weapons, custom parts, ammo refills and capacity upgrades. Spending 1,000,000 BP in total earns Shop 'til Ya Drop.
- One guide warns that the store's stock and prices change as your level rises and as you go in and out. Another says the console versions also let you sell weapons for BP.
- The store sells three Rare Finders; buying all three earns Third Eye Open. One guide gives their prices as 120,000, 150,000 and 200,000 BP.
- One guide says super rare weapons drop at random, and Legends Are Made, Not Born wants all of them. The guides list different sets. PSNProfiles, writing for the 2017 PS4 version: Grim Reaper, Drake and Muramasa. Berserker's GameFAQs guide, written in 2013: Muramasa, Drake, Pale Rider and High Roller.
- The store also sells a rocket launcher; one guide uses it to land a 100,000-damage hit for That'll Leave a Mark. Store prices change as your level rises.
