Chase down a Pantheon lead through a tense, close-quarters firefight.
Setting: Avalon, Mediterranean coast · 30 January 1991
The route, objective by objective
1. Kill Yannik and rendezvous with Sev
Follow the marker to the church bell tower. At the top you pick up a sniper rifle, and the game lets Yannik’s conversation play out before it wants you to take the shot — there is no timer, so listen if you want the context. Once he is down, clear the hostiles that come at you outside the church and make your way to Sev’s van. If you are going for Covert Agent, this counts too: getting spotted or making noise while sniping Yannik or getting down from the tower can already cost the achievement, before you ever reach the vents.
2. Get inside through the vents
The way in is round the left side of the building: climb the white van and take the vent on the right. From there you follow the signal through the ducts to the safe room on the first floor above street level. This is the stretch most walkthroughs focus on for stealth, but the achievement does not wait until here — getting to the meeting without being spotted is what earns the Covert Agent achievement, and that tracks from the church tower onward, not just from the vents, so it is worth taking slowly even though the mission does not force it.
3. The safe room, and letting it happen
The meeting goes wrong on purpose: the Guild takes you, and the mission wants you to let it. What follows is a scripted slow-motion fight that starts when Sev shoots the assistant — you are not being punished for a mistake, so do not fight the capture.
4. Kill Johan Essaidi
The last objective is a chase through the market after Essaidi, with Seghir — an armoured enemy who takes considerably more punishment than anything else in the mission — in the way. It ends with his limousine: shoot it, then walk up to the burning wreck to confirm the kill and close the mission.
The challenge: Stick Around
Kill an assassination target with a throwing knife. The obvious reading is Yannik at the bell tower, and that is the wrong place — you are handed a sniper rifle there. Do it in the market chase instead, on Seghir: throwing knives are scattered all over that area, and there is a reliable set next to an ammo crate on the right side of the market if you do not want to hunt for one. Throwing knives drop over distance, so if he has pulled ahead, aim high to compensate. It rewards the Forging Fate sticker.
What finishing it gives you
- Talent Acquisition — for completing the mission on any difficulty.
- Covert Agent — reach the Guild meeting without breaking stealth. This is the one that needs planning, and it is decided in the vents in step 2.
- Forging Fate sticker — only if you clear the Stick Around challenge.
