How many trophies and achievements are there?
78 trophies on PS4 and PS5, platinum included. 77 achievements worth 1,750 Gamerscore on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and 77 on each Steam edition. PS3 has 59 and Xbox 360 has 58.
Is there a platinum?
Yes, Los Santos Legend, on PlayStation only. The PS3 one can no longer be earned because its Online trophies are gone.
Do I need GTA Online?
Yes. 34 of the 77 entries are marked GTA Online here, and Method Actor needs an Online character.
Which trophies are missable?
TP Industries Arms Race, Red Mist, Kifflom!, Three Man Army, Altruist Acolyte and Wanted: Alive or Alive. Deathwish at the final choice protects four; for Altruist Acolyte and Wanted: Alive or Alive, deliver a hitchhiker to the cult and bring a bail-bond target back alive.
Do cheats disable trophies?
Yes, for the session in which you enter them. Restarting the game brings them back, but do not save after cheating.
Does difficulty matter?
No. There is no difficulty setting that affects trophies.
Do trophies carry from PS4 to PS5?
No, the PS5 has its own list. One trophy guide reports that Online trophies you already earned unlock again after you migrate your Online character.
The game
Which ending should I pick?
Deathwish, the third option. The other two each cost you one of the three leads. Two guides say the other endings can be replayed after the story with Replay Mission.
Can I still play on PS3 or Xbox 360?
Story Mode, yes. GTA Online closed there on 16 December 2021.
What is GTA V Enhanced?
The upgraded PC version, released on 4 March 2025 and free for owners of the PC game. The original is now called GTA V Legacy and is still playable.
Can I bring my save to PS5 or Xbox Series?
Yes, from PS4 and Xbox One, with a one-time migration for Story Mode and another for GTA Online.
How long does it take?
Two trophy guides put the platinum at about 150 hours, split between Story Mode and GTA Online.
