Duo Boons require Boons from two specific gods equipped at once, and Legendaries require a prerequisite from a single god — both are run-defining pickups. You can't force them directly, but taking the right earlier boons makes them appear.
Duos worth chasing
💥 Merciful End (Ares + Athena)
Deflected attacks immediately inflict Doom on foes — a top-tier damage duo.
⚡ Lightning Rod (Zeus + Artemis)
Uncollected Cast shards left behind keep zapping nearby enemies over time — turns your Cast into a lingering trap.
🌊 Sea Storm (Zeus + Poseidon)
Jolted foes take extra hits when knocked around; chaotic and strong.
❄️ Cold Fusion (Zeus + Demeter)
Chilled enemies get blitzed by lightning for stacking area damage.
🗡️ Curse of Longing (Ares + Aphrodite/others)
Doom-flavoured duos let your delayed damage tick relentlessly — pair with a fast attack.
🍷 Low Tolerance (Dionysus + Aphrodite)
Enemies afflicted by hangover and weak melt in your DoT pools.
Legendary boons
- Twelve Legendaries exist in total, spread across ten gods — only Poseidon and Hermes offer two apiece.
- Zeus's is Splitting Bolt (needs any one of Storm Lightning, Double Strike or High Voltage): a single-god power spike, not a Duo, even though it pairs beautifully with Artemis crit boons.
- Other examples: Athena's Divine Protection (a recurring damage shield), Artemis's Fully Loaded (two extra Cast charges) and Demeter's Winter Harvest (Chilled foes shatter at low health).
- Take the listed prerequisite Boon(s) and keep visiting that god to roll the Legendary — like Duos, they need a Tier-3 slot to appear.
- A Legendary plus a matching Duo is how the strongest high-Heat runs come together.
How to draft them
- Commit to two gods early and keep taking their offers so the shared Duo can appear.
- Use god keepsakes to guarantee the pairing you want in the first rooms.
- Don't skip your core damage for a Duo — take it when it fits, not at any cost.
- Chaos boons and hammers can enable a build; keep an eye on prerequisites you're close to.
- Duos and Legendaries both sit in Tier 3, which needs at least two qualifying Tier 1/2 Boons already on the board before the game will offer them — usually one from each god in the pair, sometimes more.
Quick Duo cheat-sheet
- Zeus pairs: Lightning Rod (Artemis), Sea Storm (Poseidon), Cold Fusion (Demeter), Lightning Phalanx (Athena), Vengeful Mood (Ares), Scintillating Feast (Dionysus), Smoldering Air (Aphrodite).
- Ares pairs: Merciful End (Athena), Curse of Longing (Aphrodite), Hunting Blades (Artemis), Freezing Vortex (Demeter), Curse of Nausea (Dionysus), Curse of Drowning (Poseidon).
- Aphrodite pairs: Low Tolerance (Dionysus), Sweet Nectar (Poseidon), Heart Rend (Artemis), Cold Embrace (Demeter), Parting Shot (Athena).
- Every god that offers Duos shares exactly one with every other — 8 gods, 28 pairs total; Hermes and Chaos don't take part.
- Commit to two gods early and their shared Duo starts appearing in offers.
