Kingdom Come: Deliverance — Questions People Actually Ask

Before buying

🖥️ Which version?
The Royal Edition, everywhere: base game plus the four expansions. PC since 2018, Switch since 15 March 2024, and native PS5 and Xbox Series versions since 13 February 2026, which replace the rough 2018 console builds.
📖 Should I play it before Deliverance II?
Yes, if you have the time: the sequel starts hours after this one ends and assumes you know Henry, Hans, Radzig, Theresa and Pebbles. The sequel recaps it, but the recap is not the same as having been in Skalitz.
⏳ How long?
About 100 hours for the story with side quests (50 each); the platinum takes about 150 with everything.
💥 Is it as hard as they say?
The first ten hours are. Henry cannot fight, read or ride, and the game does not pretend otherwise. After Bernard’s master strike and a real sword it becomes fair, then easy.

Playing it

💾 How do I save?
Saviour Schnapps, a bed you are allowed to use, or quitting to the exit-save. The schnapps recipe is nettle and belladonna in wine; brew it early. Hardcore turns off autosaving (Warhorse).
🚫 What is missable?
Twelve trophies; only Completionist, Merciful, Virgin and King Charming are missable across the whole playthrough. Side quests close at Baptism of Fire and at The Die Is Cast, and after the story about half the quests are gone for good.
🐕 Is there a dog?
Mutt, with A Woman’s Lot, which the Royal Edition includes. He tracks, warns and bites, and he is in the sequel.
🏘️ What is Pribyslavitz?
The bandit camp of Nest of Vipers, and in From the Ashes the village you rebuild as bailiff after the assault.

Still to verify

Cross-checked on 17 September 2026 against Wikipedia, PowerPyx’s roadmap and the Kingdom Come wiki. What is still unverified is the only thing reading cannot settle — nobody here has played it.
