The half-wyrm, half-weaver hunter from Hollow Knight, captured and carried to a kingdom far from Hallownest. She wakes in a cage at the bottom of Pharloom and climbs. Unlike the Knight, she talks.
Pharloom
A kingdom built upward toward a Citadel of silk and song, whose pilgrims walk the long road up to be judged at the gate. Everyone you meet is on that road or has fallen off it.
Grand Mother Silk
The power at the top, weaver of the kingdom’s silk and its haunting. Act 2 is the climb to her; what she is and what binding her means is the story’s hinge.
The Weavers
Hornet’s mother’s people, whose statues teach the silk skills and whose doors only Needolin opens. Their fall is the kingdom’s history.
The Void
The thing from under Hallownest is under Pharloom too. Act 3 is where the two games meet, and Lost Lace is where they end.
Themes, for those who like them named
The first game was about a vessel with no will; this one is about a hunter with too much. Hornet is bound at the start and binds at the end.
Pilgrimage and judgment: the road up is the structure of act 1, and the Last Judge is its literal gate.
Silk as memory: the game’s currency of healing is also the kingdom’s curse, and the Everbloom is a memory you can hold.
Still to verify
Cross-checked on 17 September 2026 against the Hollow Knight Wiki and Wikipedia, kept deliberately short of the act-3 answers. Cross-checked against official Team Cherry announcements and verified community databases. Still to confirm in-game.
