The 1,000 Gamerscore Roadmap — Campaign, Insane, Then the Long Grind

Campaign runs
Two, unless the first is on Insane: chapter select cleans up what you miss.
Difficulty
Insane for three: Today We Are Canceling the Apocalypse, For Whom The Bell Tolls, Dead Serious.
Co-op
You're My Brother: every act in co-op.
Online
All of Horde Siege and Versus, which needs a Game Pass tier with online multiplayer.
Longest
25,000 Versus kills, 50,000 Horde Siege kills, four classes at max level, four Re-Ups.
Missable
Nothing for good, by the guides we read: chapter select replays any section.

The route

  1. Step 1 — A first campaign, picking up everything

Play on Normal or Hardcore. Accept every secondary objective, open every Hard Case, and listen for collectibles; the thirteen story achievements come on their own. Do the campaign one-offs on the way — the setups are below. If a friend is playing, make this the co-op run for You're My Brother.

  2. Step 2 — Clean up with chapter select

Check the War Journal for missing collectibles and replay those chapters, along with any missed Hard Case or secondary objective. That finishes Side Piece, Relax. I'm the Map., Memories From E-Day and Quartermaster, and Remember Kalona is already done.

  3. Step 3 — Insane

Every act on Insane for Today We Are Canceling the Apocalypse and, with the 100% from step 2, For Whom The Bell Tolls. Do not touch the gameplay settings that move you off the Insane tier.

  4. Step 4 — Horde Siege

Start as Medic, so the 250 Stim Vaporizer revives build early, then level the other three classes for Siege Specialist. Lift Outta Hell, the Invasion Events, the Energy spent and the 100 side objectives come with time. Save Never Fight Alone for a squad you know, on Allfather.

  5. Step 5 — Versus and Player Level, in the background

25,000 Versus kills is the slowest counter on the list, and every kill counts whatever the result. Fit in a Conquest shutout, a Demolition detonation and the Battleship one. Four Re-Ups end with Got Your Wings; Dead Serious comes last, then The Lucky Ones Died on E-Day on Steam.

The two big Insane achievements, word for word

AchievementOfficial textWhat that means
For Whom The Bell Tolls (75G)Complete Campaign on Insane, complete all side missions, find all hidden items. One guide's copy of the list says the 100% can be on any difficulty; the official text does not say. An Insane run plus a cleanup on a lower setting is the reading the guides plan around.
Dead Serious (85G)100% Campaign on Insane, 25,000 kills in Versus, max Player Level, and max 4 classes.Read literally, the 100% is on Insane too. No guide we read has tested whether a lower-difficulty cleanup counts.

Setups for the campaign one-offs

🔫 I Am Heavy Weapons Guy
Act 3, Chapter 3, Last Foothold: take the turret off the roof of Landa Memorial Hospital before the main objective sends you there, and carry it into the underground car park nearby, where E-Holes open with plenty of Tickers. Ten kills in a row without putting it down.
🐸 Explosive Indigestion
A Bilefrog, from Act 2, Chapter 2 at the Muster Point: put a Gut-Puncher round into its glowing open mouth and let it kill. The Lost in Translation secondary objective is one place to try.
💥 Two Grubs, One Gut-Punch
Hold the trigger on the Gut-Puncher and release it when the orange grid covers two enemies.
😱 Payback's A Pitch
Let an Armored Wretch stun you with its scream, then chainsaw that one before the screen clears. They first appear in Act 3, Chapter 1; the Corpser fight in Act 3, Chapter 2 sends several.
🪚 Okay, Boomer.
Wear a Boomer down, then chainsaw it. Act 4, Chapter 1, Hope and Ruin has a chain-gun Boomer at the ruined church.
🪚 Chainsaw Go Brrrrrrrrr
Any chainsaw kill on a Locust, in the campaign or Horde Siege.

Not explained yet

Crepe du Raven, Days Since Last Accident: 0, Right in the Ticker, I Didn't Hear No Bell and Brotector are only described by their official text in what we read. The tracker gives that text, and nothing is guessed.
