The Archetype job system lets any character do anything. Build a balanced team, then inherit skills to break the rules — a single well-built character can cover two roles at once.
Team roles
⚔️ A striker
Warrior/Berserker lineages for reliable single-target and stagger damage.
🔥 An elementalist
Mage/Summoner to hit weaknesses and earn extra press-turns.
🛡️ A protector
Knight to cover allies and soak hits on hard bosses.
➕ A support
Healer or Masked Dancer to sustain and buff the whole party.
Advanced play
- Inherit a healing or elemental skill onto your striker so one Archetype covers two roles.
- Line up Synthesis pairs before big fights for huge combo damage or a full heal.
- Chase the Royal Archetypes for each companion — they're the strongest endgame classes.
- Cover every element across the party so you can always exploit a weakness for extra turns.
Inheritance ideas
- Put an AoE elemental skill on a physical striker to fish for weaknesses when needed.
- Give a frail caster a defensive or auto-revive skill so a bad turn isn't fatal.
- Carry a single-target heal on a damage dealer for emergency sustain without a turn spent swapping.
- Keep a debuff (Faker) or buff (Masked Dancer) inherited onto a flexible member for boss fights.
A strong default team
- Protagonist (flex, Synthesis anchor) + Strohl (striker) as your core.
- One elemental caster (Mage or Summoner lineage) to farm press-turns.
- One support/healer, or a Masked Dancer for buffs and sustain.
- Inherit a heal and a spare element so three members can also cover a fourth role.
Royal Archetypes
- Six party members unlock a Royal Archetype at Bond Rank 8, and the protagonist's Prince comes through story progression — the strongest form of their personal lineage.
- A Royal Archetype folds in moves from every earlier tier of that line, so reaching it late doesn't waste skills you already inherited.
- Bond Rank 8 needs both story progress and repeated hangouts, so plan calendar time around whichever companion's Royal form you want first.
