Main dungeons have deadlines; side dungeons and the Gauntlet Runner fill the gaps. Managing time is half the game β a good schedule leaves you both dungeon-cleared and bond-rich.
Time management
- Clear the story dungeon comfortably before its deadline, then use spare days for bonds and stats.
- Scout a dungeon's element theme and set your party's Archetypes before entering.
- Use the Gauntlet Runner's activities on travel days to grow Royal Virtues.
- Rest to recover, but don't waste days β the calendar is your real resource.
Clearing efficiently
- Use field attacks and ambushes to skip or shorten trivial fights and save in-dungeon time.
- Bring the element the dungeon is themed around to speed through its enemies.
- Grab treasure and side objectives on the way to the boss rather than backtracking.
- If you clear early, spend the freed days on the bonds you need for Royal Archetypes.
Types of dungeon
- Main story dungeons: gated by a deadline; clear them with days to spare.
- Side dungeons: optional runs for MAG, gear and Archetype XP on free days.
- Themed dungeons often share one element β set your party to exploit it.
- Endgame/optional dungeons hide the superbosses; save them for a Royal-Archetype party.
