GEAR

Equipment & Items

Gear boosts your stats independent of Archetype, so it's a flat power increase for whatever class you run. Keep it current at each new city and stock consumables before tough dungeons.

Gearing up

  • Buy and forge better weapons and armour as you reach each new city.
  • Accessories can grant resistances and passive perks β€” tailor them to a dungeon.
  • Stock healing and revive items; press-turn fights can spiral fast.
  • Sell or dismantle old gear to fund the next tier.

Smart shopping

  • Bring materials to the blacksmith to forge upgrades that outclass shop gear.
  • Slot resistance accessories that remove your weakness to a dungeon's main element.
  • Keep a stock of revive and cure-all items β€” Atlus fights punish being caught short.
  • Don't overspend early; save money for the Merchant Archetype's money-based attacks if you use it.

Accessory tactics

  • Slot an accessory that nulls or resists the dungeon's main element to deny enemy press-turns.
  • Swap accessories per fight β€” a resistance that saves a run is worth the menu time.
  • Some accessories grant passive skills or stat boosts; match them to a character's role.
  • Forge upgrades at the blacksmith often beat anything on sale in the shops.
