WALKTHROUGH

Solo & Duo Play

Nightreign is balanced around three players, so solo and duo runs are a real challenge. A few adjustments β€” self-sufficient classes, faster leveling and safer play β€” keep them winnable.

Going short-handed

  • Solo scales boss health down but you lose all revives from teammates β€” play safe and greedy only when the window is clear.
  • Pick a self-sufficient Nightfarer (Wylder, Ironeye) with strong sustain and ranged options.
  • Rush levels early; being under-levelled hurts far more without backup.
  • In duo, decide up front who tanks and who does damage, and always rez before re-engaging.

Solo survival

  • Fight defensively β€” one bad trade with no reviver ends the whole run.
  • Lean on ranged pokes and status build-up rather than risky melee exchanges.
  • Use terrain and the boss's tells to create safe damage windows.
  • Bank levels aggressively; raw stats compensate for the missing bodies.

Duo coordination

  • Split day-one clearing but stay close enough to revive each other.
  • One of you tanks and one deals damage; agree it before you drop.
  • Combine on every field boss β€” duos can't afford a solo wipe.
  • Bring one self-sufficient class so a downed partner isn't an instant loss.
