Relics & Loadouts

Relics are your between-run progression — the way you tilt an expedition in your favour before it even starts. A good relic set turns a shaky class into a consistent one.

Relics

🔮 What relics do
Equip relics to modify your starting stats, passives and how your skill/Ultimate behave.
🎨 Slot colours
Relics fit coloured slots — plan combinations that reinforce your Nightfarer's identity.
🌒 Earning them
Relics drop from expeditions and objectives; farm the ones that suit your favourite class.

Building a Nightfarer

  • Play to the class fantasy: Ironeye marks and snipes, Guardian tanks and revives, Raider bruises up close.
  • Match relics and weapons to the Nightlord you're hunting and its weakness.
  • Coordinate with the squad so your loadouts cover damage, sustain and crowd control.
  • Keep your Ultimate for the boss or a squad-wipe emergency, not for trash.

Relic strategy

  • Prioritise relics that shore up a class's weakness — sustain on a glass cannon, damage on a tank.
  • Colour-match before an expedition; a relic you can't slot does nothing.
  • Farm the Nightlord that drops relics for your main until the set is complete.
  • Re-tune your loadout for each Nightlord rather than running one fixed setup forever.

Sample relic goals

  • Glass cannon (Recluse): stack sustain and survivability relics to offset the fragility.
  • Tank (Guardian): add damage or revive-speed relics since survivability is covered.
  • Marker (Ironeye): reinforce ranged damage and status build-up.
  • Always colour-match to the character's slots before you commit to a set.

Vessels: your slot colours are not fixed

This is the part that turns a colour-matching chore into a choice. Each Nightfarer starts with an Urn whose three slot colours are set for them. A Goblet is the same three slots in a different colour combination, and you swap between them in the Relic Rites menu — the small arrow under the coloured slots.
A class Goblet costs 1,200 Murk at the Small Jar Bazaar. Which means «I have a great relic I cannot slot» has a price rather than being bad luck. Buy the Goblet for the one class you actually play before you spend another run farming for a colour that fits the Urn.

Still to verify

Cross-checked on 5 September 2026 against GameSpot and the Fextralife Vessels page — which agree on the three slots, the four colour names, the 1,200 Murk Goblet price and the relic sources, and confirm no starting Urn actually carries the «orange» slot one source described, so leaving it out was right. What is still unverified is the only thing reading cannot settle — nobody here has played it.
