Habits that make expeditions consistent — pacing, targeting and squad discipline that turn coin-flip runs into reliable wins.
Pace & power
- Get strong fast — the first two days decide the run.
- Prioritise field bosses and Evergaols over trash for gear.
- Level at every Site of Grace instead of hoarding runes you might lose.
- Stay ahead of the Night's Tide; never fight the boss inside the storm.
Fighting the Nightlord
- Always match your damage type to the Nightlord.
- Save flasks, revives and Ultimates for the boss, not the run-up.
- Coordinate revives and Ultimates with your squad.
- Learn one attack tell per attempt rather than panic-rolling everything.
Survival habits
- Roll through attacks with i-frames rather than backing away and eating the tail.
- Keep an eye on the storm timer; reposition before it forces a panic run.
- Don't fight two field bosses back-to-back without a heal and a Grace between.
- Bank a level whenever you pass a Grace — dying with unspent runes is wasted power.
Relics, and why every run pays
- Relics drop after every expedition, win or lose. A wiped run is still progress, which is the single most important thing to understand about the loop.
- Getting further pays better: reaching the night-two boss or the Nightlord itself means more relics and better odds on their quality.
- Each relic has a colour — red Burning Scene, green Tranquil Scene, blue Drizzly Scene, yellow Luminous Scene — and each Nightfarer has three colour-coded slots. A relic only goes into a slot of its own colour.
- Grade decides how much you get: a Delicate relic carries one passive, a Polished one two, and a Grand one all three.
- Relics are equipped at the Roundtable Hold and attach to a specific Nightfarer, so building one out does not build the others.
