Common Mistakes to Avoid

Most failed runs come down to the same handful of avoidable errors. Clean these up and your win rate climbs sharply — none of them require better reflexes, just better decisions.

Pacing errors

  • Over-exploring day one and getting caught by the Night's Tide — always leave time to reposition.
  • Hoarding runes instead of levelling at Sites of Grace — banked runes do nothing if you die.
  • Skipping field bosses and Evergaols, then arriving at the Nightlord under-geared.
  • Fighting the night boss inside the closing storm instead of clearing the ring first.

Squad errors

  • Splitting up for the final night instead of grouping for the Nightlord.
  • Ignoring a downed teammate to chase your own damage — revive first, always.
  • Everyone bringing the same damage type and leaving a weakness uncovered.
  • Overlapping Ultimates and defensive saves instead of coordinating them.

Turning it around

  • Behind on levels? Farm safe camps and a field boss before the next night.
  • Wrong damage type? Pivot at a merchant instead of brute-forcing the Nightlord.
  • Squad scattered? Call a regroup and clear the next objective together.
  • Even a lost run banks relics and unlocks — reset and go again a little stronger.
