Strategy & Tips

Expeditions are won in the first two days. Get strong fast, cover the map, and walk into night three overprepared.

Squad strategy

🛡️ Cover the roles
A durable front-liner (Guardian), a marker/ranged (Ironeye) and a bruiser (Raider/Wylder) covers most Nightlords.
🌀 Match the damage type
Many Nightlords are weak to Lightning, Fire or Holy — bring weapons and affinities that match the boss you're hunting.
🗺️ Split then regroup
Spread out on day one to clear more of the map for runes and gear, then converge before each night falls.
⚔️ Chase power spikes
Field bosses and Evergaols give the biggest gear jumps — prioritise them over trash mobs.

Winning night three

  • Enter the final night fully levelled and with your weapon upgraded — under-levelling loses runs.
  • Save flasks, revives and your Ultimate for the Nightlord, not the mobs before it.
  • Learn the Nightlord's pattern on the first attempt; most have a clear tell to punish.
  • Never fight the boss while the Night's Tide is still closing in — clear it first.
  • Revive downed teammates immediately by attacking them; a full squad wins, a solo rarely does.
