| Dominic Santiago | Carlos Ferro | Also younger, also the original voice. The pre-order bonus skin is named after him. |
| Mags Carter | Elizabeth Ludlow | New to the series. A former Gear who had been working at an Imulsion refinery. Pure Xbox's preview describes her as the guarded sceptic of the four. |
| Lucas Reyes | Jake Ryan Lozano | New to the series. A young cadet and communications officer, and the one Pure Xbox calls green to conflict. |
Around them
How much time the story covers is told three different ways
What the team says it is about
- Loss, brotherhood and loyalty are the themes Searcy and Figueroa name on the Official Xbox Podcast, with Bravo Squad set inside a larger brotherhood facing something they cannot beat.
- Xbox Wire's preview makes a point of the squad's manner: deferential to their superiors, joking in downtime, cautiously hopeful — and argues that this, not the shooting, is where the game's humanity sits.
- Searcy told Pure Xbox that E-Day is the most lore-rich game in the series, and that it shows what the world was before the destruction the later games take for granted.
- The Coalition told Pure Xbox that no generative AI was used in making the game.
- Marcus and Dom meet each enemy type for the first time on screen, which is how the podcast frames the campaign's introductions to the Locust.
- The Coalition would not comment to Pure Xbox on whether a Gears 6 is in development.
