Resources & Farming Routes

A steady flow of materials keeps your base and arsenal growing. The trick is to build bases on top of the resources you burn through, then let Pals mine them on autopilot while you're out exploring.

Key materials

  • Ore and coal for ingots — build a mining base with Digtoise on a rich node.
  • Sulfur (desert) for ammo and gunpowder — a mid-game bottleneck; set up a dedicated node.
  • Paldium fragments for spheres; wood and stone from base Lumbering/Mining Pals.
  • Pure Quartz and Ancient Civilization Parts for high-tech gear and Pal Gear.

Farming routes

  • Build directly on ore/coal clusters so mining Pals work them nonstop.
  • Coal is concentrated in the desert and volcano — a second base there fuels refined ingots.
  • Sulfur deposits ring the desert; run a loop with a fast mount to top up between base yields.
  • Ancient Parts drop from Alpha Pals, Lucky Pals and dungeon bosses, and turn up in rare chests — farm them once you can beat those reliably.

Never run dry

Assign more mining Pals than you think you need and keep large chests beside them; the most common late-game stall is running out of ingots or ammo mid-project. A dedicated resource base with high-tier miners removes that bottleneck for good.

The refining chain

  • Ore → Ingots at a Furnace (needs a Kindling Pal like Jormuntide Ignis).
  • Coal → Refined and Pal Metal ingots for higher-tier gear.
  • Sulfur plus other materials → Gunpowder → Ammo at the Assembly Line.
  • Keep furnaces and benches beside your miners and Transporting Pals so it all flows automatically.

Coordinates worth writing down

The advice above is «build on top of the nodes». These are the nodes people actually build on.
MaterialWhere
Ore and coal together189, -38 — Verdant Brook. Enough coal alongside the ore to feed the furnaces from one base
Coal, earlyTwilight Dunes, the desert on the corner of the central island — the same place Anubis spawns
Sulfur-594, -525 — the volcano peak behind the Tower of the Brothers of the Eternal Pyre, with a fast-travel point close by
Sulfur, automatedAround -743, -442 — the spot people build a harvesting base on
Pure Quartz-212, 249 — Astral Mountains, nine or more nodes in one place
The ore-and-coal site is the one that changes your game. Every other entry gives you one material; Verdant Brook gives both halves of the ingot chain in one base radius, which is the difference between a mining base and a refining base. Set that one up first and the sulfur trips become optional.

Cross-checked

Cross-checked on 5 September 2026 against Steam Community base-location guides and Nodecraft's/PinDrop's sulfur and Pure Quartz guides — which place the same five spots within a few units of this page's coordinates (e.g. the sulfur automation spot at -744,-442 against this page's -743,-442): close enough to be the same node cluster, not a contradiction. Coordinates are still the detail most likely to be transcribed differently between guides, so check one against your own map before building on it. On 3 October 2026 the ore-and-coal, sulfur and Pure Quartz spots were checked again against PlayerAuctions' mining-base guide for 1.0, which gives the same coordinates. What is still unverified is the only thing reading cannot settle — nobody here has played it.
