Wenceslaus IV, King of Bohemia, is a prisoner of his half-brother Sigismund, King of Hungary, who rules in his name. The nobles who back Wenceslaus are the resistance Henry serves; the ones who back Sigismund are the enemy.
🪨 Kuttenberg
Kutná Hora, the silver mine that funded the Bohemian crown and the second city of the kingdom. St Barbara’s cathedral is under construction in 1403 — the photo at the top of this guide is the finished one.
🛡️ Henry and Hans
Henry of Skalitz, the blacksmith’s son of the first game, and Hans Capon, Lord of Pirkstein: a friendship that the first game started and this one is built around.
👿 Istvan Toth and Markvart von Aulitz
The man who burned Skalitz, and the real nobleman who commanded Sigismund’s forces. Vengeance and Face to Face are the two trophies that name them.
⛪ Jan Hus and the Church
The reform that becomes the Hussite Wars is a decade away; the sermons, the council and Mysteria Ecclesiae’s monastery are the game showing where it starts.
Read this if you want the history
The game is set in 1403, a year after Wenceslaus was imprisoned; the siege in the story is at Suchdol, not Kuttenberg, and the political map is real.
Warhorse’s codex inside the game is the best primer on medieval Bohemia in any video game, and it is written by historians.
Still to verify
Cross-checked on 17 September 2026 against Wikipedia and PowerPyx’s trophy list. The history is the public record; the game’s handling of it is the game’s. What is still unverified is the only thing reading cannot settle — nobody here has played it.
