The five
👑 Hans Capon
Yes, that Hans. Heart-marked dialogue across Back in the Saddle, Taking French Leave, The Italian Job and Hunger and Despair; the slowest romance in the game and exclusive with Katherine.
💙 Katherine
The woman in blue: The Sword and the Quill, The Fifth Commandment, Hunger and Despair. Wants reputation, Charisma, Speech and Scholarship. Exclusive with Hans.
🌿 Klara
Nebakov, in Back in the Saddle (her riddle, her herbs) and again in The Finger of God. Two chances; miss the first and the second still works.
📖 Rosa Ruthard
Lord Ruthard’s daughter: Via Argentum, Taking French Leave and Oratores. Find her book, read it before you return it, and talk about it; Scholarship and reputation decide the rest — and in Dancing with the Devil, never back burning the tower she is in, or the romance is gone. Rosa’s Book, the task, is the Tales of Kuttenberg trophy.
🎣 Margaret
The mill near Bylany, then the inn at Pschitoky. Free her, help with Latsek — and she robs you afterwards, which is the joke: a fifth of the groschen you carry (one guide lost more than 2,000).
The one-night ones
- Doubravka and Myshka at the Semine wedding (dance; rescue from Vuytek).
- Black Bartosch and the widow Johanka at the For Victory! feast.
- Lousy Mary at Madam Beata’s bathhouse during Into the Underworld, and the bathhouse maids everywhere: the Time Well Spent buff, +1 to Strength, Agility and Vitality.
- As Father Godwin in The King’s Gambit, one of three ladies with the right speech checks.
Still to verify
Cross-checked on 17 September 2026 and re-checked on 1 October 2026 against the romance guides of Game Rant, TheGamer, PC Gamer, Vandal and Fextralife. What is still unverified is the only thing reading cannot settle — nobody here has played it.
