The systems
Reputation
Per town and per group. It moves with what you do, what you wear, what you steal and who saw. Low reputation closes shops and dialogue; high opens both and lowers prices.
Crime and punishment
Guards search and fine; a punishment you accept is the pillory, the rod or a brand on the neck, and the gallows only for a man still branded from last time. Slip the Noose is talking your way out of an execution; Menace in hardcore makes the second serious crime final.
Horses
Bought, stolen or won; stamina, carry weight and courage vary. Pebbles, Henry’s horse from the first game, can be found again (An Old Friend). Horse racing came as a free update.
Mutt
Recovered in a Trosky side quest and levelled through Houndmaster: tracks, fetches, warns, fights. The best companion in the game and the easiest to forget to feed.
Cleanliness and clothes
Charisma is what you look like. A bath, clean clothes and no blood turn a beggar into a nobleman in the eyes of a merchant.

- Trosky: Troskowitz, Semine, Tachov, Nebakov, Zhelejov, Vidlak, Trosky castle; the mill, the bathhouse, the apothecary.
- Kuttenberg: the city and its districts, Suchdol, Sedletz and its monastery, Maleshov, Mishkovitz, Grund, the mines.
