Twenty tips
- Decide about Lent before you eat anything: no meat, no animal kills, for the whole story.
- Pay the herbwoman before Hans does. A Knight’s Word is early Trosky and easy to lose.
- Combat Training I and II with Tomcat before any fight that matters.
- The master strike is the game. Learn it in Trosky; Zavish will check.
- Every main quest starts with a permanent save. A missed trophy is a reload.
- Trosky before Necessary Evil; Kuttenberg before Oratores. Both regions come back after the credits, but the story does not wait.
- Read. Scholarship makes every other skill book usable.
- Bathe before you talk to anyone important. Charisma is soap.
- Groschen in the bank of a good reputation: sell in towns that like you.
- Mutt fetches, tracks and pulls attention in fights. Feed him.
- Blunt weapons through plate, stabs through mail. Read the armour before you pick the weapon.
- Stamina wins duels. Let them swing at air.
- Four loaded hand cannons is a trophy, not a strategy.
- Brushes with Death opens in Trosky after quest 6; do its four Trosky quests before quest 8 or you will be doing them after the credits — the last six wait for Kuttenberg.
- Legacy of the Forge and Mysteria Ecclesiae both open early in Kuttenberg; the forge pays for itself.
- Hardcore: never Menace on a first run.
- The gold dice badge is the Shiny trophy, and dice is how a poor Henry gets rich.
- A crime seen is a crime; a crime unseen is a rumour. Reputation remembers both differently.
- Pebbles is out there. An Old Friend.
- Been There, Done That is 90% of everything: tasks count. Do the small jobs.
